The Ray County Senior Services Board
was created to provide programs
which will improve
the health, nutrition and quality of life
of persons who are sixty years of age or older.


Pictured is the Orrick Community Center where Senior Citizen Bingo has been held this summer funded by a 2010 RCSSB grant. The Center Board will present a proposal to RCSSB for 2011 funding to again hold Senior Citizen Bingo.  

The final bingo session of this year will be held August 26 at 2:00 p.m.  With summer ending, normal hours at the Center are Wednesday,1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  

The Center offers a library, game room, community clothes closet and food pantry.  Aerobics classes are held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m.  

A music night is held the 4th Friday night of each month.  Fall activities planned include a Haunted House (Night of Terrors) fundraiser on October 23 & 30 and a Trick or Treat Maze October 31.    

On Sunday, December 5 a holiday open house with lunch, a wreath auction and displays by local vendors is planned.
